Willow Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) is contracted by San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services to provide therapeutic and/or rehabilitation services in a structured program for clients experiencing significant mental health challenges. Services are designed to improve symptom management, encourage skill development, and promote restoration of effective and independent functioning. The Willow MHRC provides an individualized rehabilitation program within a locked setting based on sound principles of psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, therapeutic interventions, and psychosocial rehabilitation techniques. Willow is a welcoming, safe, and therapeutic environment in which behaviors that promote wellness and recovery are reinforced both actively and thoughtfully with the goal of facilitating a learning process that helps individuals make considered choices and increases their level of functioning. Willow has a trauma-informed design, and staff are trained to ensure that trauma informed resources are maximized in facilitating the continued recovery of the clients.
