REVOLUTIONIZING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Caminar's Thought Leadership Series
Continuing the Circle of Support Legacy
Please join us on Friday, April 23
On April 23, we will present a complimentary virtual panel discussion on Revolutionizing Behavioral Health: Using New Technology, Brain Science, and Equity-Oriented Treatment to Make Us All Better.
Caminar's Thought Leadership Series honors the 17-year tradition of the Circle of Support Luncheon. This year, we are bringing emerging behavioral health – mental health, substance use disorders, and the co-occurrence of these disorders – topics to the community.
This series aspires to disrupt traditional thinking and deepen our collective knowledge, practices, and services to improve the well-being of the whole community. Our April 23rd conversation about new technologies and the importance of bringing an equity lens to behavioral healthcare is our starting point.
Our featured panelists include:
Sandra R. Hernández, MD, President and CEO of the California Health Care Foundation
Tom Insel, MD, Co-founder and Advisor of Mindstrong, Former Director of the National Institute of Mental Health
Tyler Norris, MDiv, Chief Executive of Well Being Trust, Author of A Unified Vision for Transforming Mental Health and Substance Use Care
Mark Cloutier, MPP, MPH, CEO of Caminar - moderator
Please register now for this complimentary discussion about ground-breaking strategies to advance behavioral health in our communities.

MARK CLOUTIER TO SPEAK AT SAN FRANCISCO BUSINESS TIMES EVENT: MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING AT WORK
Caminar is the proud nonprofit partner of the upcoming San Francisco Business Times virtual event, Mental Health and Wellbeing at Work, on Friday, March 5, from 10:30 - 11:45 AM. In addition to our partnership, our CEO Mark Cloutier will serve as a panelist during this event.
As businesses continue to operate with remote workforce, and as parents juggle work responsibilities and managing remote school for their children – mental health and wellness is a top priority for both employers and employees. It is imperative that companies have plans that support employee mental health and wellbeing, and help employees cope with increasing stress, anxiety, and other concerns. In uncertain times, prioritizing employee mental health and wellbeing is not only the right thing to do; it also impacts employee productivity. This informative webinar will offer management advice, tips, tools, and resources to help employers navigate best practices, plans and solutions. Our experts will offer practical advice to professionals managing their own wellbeing. We will help viewers learn how to identify struggling employees and help their employees thrive in these challenging times.

INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT
Funding Reallocation for COVID: The Crucial Role Played by Peninsula Health Care District
Peninsula Health Care District, which focuses on initiatives that support the health needs of district residents within San Bruno, Millbrae, Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, and Foster City communities, has assisted Caminar in launching programs and partnered with us on grants for a decade ($400,000 ).
Due to the pandemic and massive disruptions, Peninsula Health Care District allowed Caminar and other grantees to reallocate 2020 grant funding. A grant originally designated for Caminar’s health and wellness program could be used for anything related to COVID. Our leadership reassessed immediate priorities and reallocated this $30,000 grant to ensure safe operations during the pandemic.
