Sheléa was - once again - fabulous! She shared her incredible talent, as well as her inner and outer beauty with us. She made us smile, she reminded us that we are enough, and she delighted with her incredible voice and range. We loved every minute!

Thank you to all who supported and joined us for the 9th Annual In Concert with Caminar gala.
Because of you, an inspiring night celebrating music, community, and wellness raised critical funds to deliver mental health care and support for Bay Area youth and adults.
As our Bay Area neighbors, clients and staff members in the Solano County area, and so many across our state are once again coping with wildfires and power outages, we draw hope from the countless acts of kindness that bring comfort, care, and safety to communities in need.
Those who are in, or near, harm’s way are in our thoughts and hearts.
And, we are filled with gratitude. With thanks to you, our donors and supporters, more than 20,000 people this year will receive the compassionate, science-driven care they need to alleviate suffering from mental health and substance abuse conditions and move forward in healing and wellness.
Thank you.
Please enjoy these highlights, photos, and video from the evening.
The 9th Annual In Concert with Caminar brought together friends, family, and community for a magical night.
Dave Clark, KTVU-TV anchor and the evening’s emcee, kicked off the program by welcoming all of our guests. He spoke to the importance of addressing mental health, substance use, and related challenges—all critical community needs he talks about each day on the news.
Caminar’s CEO, Mark Cloutier, described the tremendous opportunity we have to improve the mental health and wellness of our community. He introduced our video story. We were moved as a young woman bravely shared how childhood trauma caught up with her, her diagnosis of mental illness, and how she found a lifeguard in Caminar. Watch Shrtonay’s story now.
The therapeutic power of the expressive arts was apparent as we were enchanted by the sheer talent, authenticity, and soulfulness of our headliner Sheléa. What a performance!
Most importantly, with the expertise of Andrew Lick of Christie’s, we raised critical funds to improve the health and well-being of our most vulnerable neighbors. Proceeds from this signature event ensure that local people coping with complex mental health needs receive the care and support we all deserve to overcome challenges and move toward greater resilience, wellness, and independence. Thank you for funding the path to wellness. We are so grateful.
Special thanks to Michael Collopy and Dawdy Photography for capturing the evening in photos.

This annual gala celebrates the therapeutic power of the expressive arts and raises critical funds to improve the health and wellness of our most vulnerable neighbors.
We are excited to welcome our concert headliner,
a protégé of the legendary Quincy Jones, singer Sheléa.
Sheléa: Natural Woman: A Night of Soul from Aretha to Adele
With a voice that stirs the soul and hands that effortlessly glide over the keys, Sheléa represents a return to true artistry that has garnered much attention and adoration from legends throughout the music industry. Her sultry sound is an exciting oasis in an age of auto-tune. Blending traditional pop, jazz, R&B and soul, Sheléa brings a contemporary edge to classics and a classic touch to contemporary pop standards.
Over the last several years, her rising star has continued to accelerate on an unstoppable trajectory. In March 2019, Sheléa starred on PBS, joined by special guests David Foster and Greg Phillinganes, in the concert special QUINCY JONES PRESENTS: SHELÉA, as well as released her much-anticipated third album Pretty World: Through the Eyes of Alan and Marilyn Bergman (Breath of Life Records/Universal). Sheléa will also star in the upcoming music biopic You Brought the Sunshine: The Story of The Clark Sisters, executive produced by Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, and Mary J. Blige.
You may not yet know her name, but you will. Don’t miss your chance to hear Sheléa perform live!
Thank you to all who joined us for and supported this year’s gala. You made this a special night of community and celebration.
As our Butte Region team members work diligently to support our clients impacted by the devastating Camp Fire, we feel just how precious a community of support truly is. Our hearts go out to all who are affected by our state's wildfires.
We are also filled with gratitude for the strength of our community. Thanks to steadfast supporters and newer friends of Caminar, more than 20,000 people this year will receive the care they need to move toward resilience, wellness, and independence.
Thank you now, more than ever.
Please enjoy these photos from the evening.
Our 8th Annual In Concert with Caminar brought together friends and community, highlighted a young man’s journey to wellness, celebrated the therapeutic power of the expressive arts, and raised critical funds to improve the health and well-being of our most vulnerable neighbors.
The concert featured En Vogue, one of the top five highest-selling American female music groups in history. In concert with En Vogue was Cuban jazz sensation Maikel Garcia and M Project. Our evening’s special host was former San Francisco 49er, NFL Hall of Famer, and Bay Area philanthropist and legend, Ronnie Lott.
In addition to live music, guests enjoyed art and heavy hors d'oeuvres during our hosted cocktail reception. This event was held at the impressive SFJAZZ Center on the corner of Fell and Franklin streets in the heart of San Francisco’s cultural corridor.
Event proceeds support critical behavioral health and supportive services for vulnerable community members.
Special thanks to Michael Collopy and Dawdy Photography for capturing the evening in photos.
As you may know, Ronnie Lott will be the emcee for our upcoming In Concert with Caminar gala on October 27. (Limited tickets remain!) Today on KNBR, he and Brian Murphy talked about rallying together to tackle mental health.
We are thrilled and thankful when Bay Area legends speak up about mental health and shine a light on this topic that touches all of our lives. The more we talk about mental health with compassion, the more stigma is defeated.

A huge thank-you to Ronnie and Murph.
If you cannot attend In Concert with Caminar and would like to rally with Ronnie to make a difference in our community, please consider making a donation. Donations at all levels strengthen our network of support for vulnerable individuals and families. Thank you.
